The Chehalem Cultural Center never turns children away from opportunities for lack of ability to pay.
More than two-thirds of children who attend art and culture classes at the Center do so under some kind of funding arrangement. Direct scholarships play a major part in that. It costs $165 to send a child to a week of summer camp, where children connect with self-expression and find their creative voice. Whether it is a foster child through our partnership with Yamhill County Family and Youth, a child with special needs, or a child whose family is enduring unexpected circumstances, the Chehalem Cultural Center is here to provide matriculation and a peer creative experience that will shape identities--and ultimately communities.
